Removal of superficial blood vessels with vascular laser
On Elite Clinic Beauty we specialize in laser, with extensive experience.
We can help many people with our vascular laser and treat, for example, fire spots , also called port wine stains or naevus flammeus.
This is a vascular area most commonly found on the face, but can also be found on the body. It is a pink, red, or blue colored birthmark. It can be flat or raised, depending on the number and size of the vessels.
During treatment, the laser light seeks out the hemoglobin in the blood. The blood heats up and coagulates and the vessel walls collapse. We get something called “purpura” in the skin. This means that the blood coagulates and the area turns purple. This lasts for about 5-14 days and then we see an incipient result from the first treatment. After about 6 weeks, the next treatment is done. After each treatment, the birthmark shrinks and becomes less prominent. The number of treatments depends on the size and thickness of the birthmark.
We also treat other types of vascular formations such as redness, rosacea , superficial vessels, raspberry marks and vascular nodules on the lip.
