Dr. Fredrik Gewalli

Dr. Fredrik Gewalli is one of Sweden's most experienced plastic surgeons with over 30 years of experience in both reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery. He is a specialist in both general surgery and plastic surgery, and has a solid background in research and development of new surgical techniques. With a long academic background, he has worked in both public and private healthcare.

He is an associate professor of plastic surgery at Lund University and has previously been head of the Head & Neck Microsurgical Reconstruction Team at Lund University Hospital. He has also worked as a senior physician at the plastic surgery department at Malmö/Lund and has been active as a researcher and supervisor of doctoral students in the field of tissue engineering and reconstructive surgery.

Fredrik has trained at some of the world's leading plastic surgery clinics, including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai and Gea Gonzales Hospital in Mexico City. He is a member of several international and Swedish plastic surgery societies and has been chairman of the Swedish Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

With his expertise in facial surgery, nasal reconstruction and microsurgery, he has developed advanced surgical techniques and has been a driving force in education and research. His work includes a large number of scientific publications and he is a frequent speaker at international congresses.
