Abdominoplasty with liposuction

Abdominoplasty and liposuction – complete guide to treatment, results and recovery

Abdominoplasty in Elite Clinic – when your body changes and you want to restore balance

The body changes throughout life. Pregnancy, major weight loss, or natural aging can cause the skin on your stomach to lose its elasticity. Despite exercise and a healthy lifestyle, excess skin and a changed shape can remain.
Abdominoplasty in Elite Clinic is therefore not about changing who you are – but about restoring the body's natural balance.

What does abdominoplasty mean?

Abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure that aims to improve the shape of the abdomen by removing excess skin and, if necessary, tightening underlying tissue.
At the same time, it is often possible to combine the procedure with liposuction. This way, fat deposits can also be shaped, creating a more harmonious whole.
The result is a firmer stomach with clearer contours – tailored to your body.

Why choose abdominoplasty?

The decision to undergo a tummy tuck is always a personal one. For many, it's about more than just appearance. It's about how they feel in their body.
Common causes are:
  • excess skin after pregnancy
  • changes after major weight loss
  • decreased skin elasticity over time
  • a feeling of imbalance in body proportions
At the same time, many describe a desire to feel like “themselves again.” Therefore, abdominoplasty is often a step towards increased confidence in one's own body.

A treatment that starts with you

At Elite Clinic Every treatment is based on the individual. No two bodies are the same, and therefore every abdominoplasty is tailored to your needs, wishes and medical conditions.
The process always begins with a consultation, where you have the opportunity to ask questions, understand the procedure, and create realistic expectations.
At the same time, great importance is placed on ensuring that you feel safe throughout the entire process – from the first meeting to follow-up after surgery.

How is the procedure performed?

A tummy tuck is performed under carefully controlled conditions by experienced surgeons.
During the operation:
  • excess skin is removed
  • tissue is tightened if necessary
  • the area is shaped for a natural result
When combined with liposuction, the contours around the stomach can also be further improved.
The goal is always the same – a result that looks natural and feels balanced.

Recovery and results

After a tummy tuck, there is a recovery period that varies from person to person. The body needs time to heal, and the results develop gradually.
Most people experience over time:
  • a firmer stomach
  • a smoother profile
  • an improved overall feeling in the body
At the same time, there is Elite Clinic with you throughout the entire process. You receive clear instructions, follow-up and support – which creates security and the best possible results.

A decision at your own pace

Having a tummy tuck is a big decision, so it should never feel stressful.
At Elite Clinic The focus is always on guidance, knowledge and transparency. You will get the information you need to make an informed decision.

Renuvion – Alternative to surgery

Face - Plastic Surgery

Most people want to look younger or at least not look older.

One of the changes that occur in the body as we age is that the skin becomes less elastic and sags more. This can also occur after pregnancy or after significant weight loss. For many years, plastic surgeons have been looking for methods to tighten the skin and many machines have been tried - with poor results and often the risk of burns.

Richard Lewin - Plastic surgeon / Renuvion expert

For a couple of years now we have been using Renuvion which works with helium plasma which contracts tissue and tightens skin. We know it works well on the neck , upper arms and inner thighs but after I just attended a conference in Barcelona for Renuvion experts I have also seen that it works well on breasts that need a little lift, on stomachs that have wrinkles and loose skin and even buttocks that need better shape.

So glad that we can offer such a good alternative to surgery for those who don't want long scars and want to get back to work and exercise quickly.

Welcome to a consultation to find what works best for you!

Ready for beach 2024?

Beach 2024

Beach 2024

Autumn is almost here after a somewhat rainy summer… at least if the holiday has been in Sweden. Many of our patients come to us in May and want to have a tummy tuck so they don’t have to wear a swimsuit or high bikini bottoms on the beach. We can of course help with that, but healing and swelling after the operation can also ruin part of the swimming season if the operation is done in June. Sometimes the summer can be the only chance to have an operation and be free afterwards, but if you can choose, there are better times….

Instead of deciding just before summer that you want to reduce your belly, you should have your tummy tuck from September to April. The swimming season is over, unless you swim in the winter, and it is less inconvenient with the compression garments that you need to wear for several weeks after your surgery. In the summer, these are inconvenient if it is hot outside.

So…. If you are planning to have a tummy tuck – come for a consultation and book in during the best time – fall, winter and spring!

Buttock implants

Buttock implants

Many different things affect the appearance of the butt. Most people want a firm, toned butt or a larger, fuller butt. Exercise causes the large butt muscle, the Gluteus Maximus, to increase in size, and our genes and heredity are particularly important in how the butt looks. Some people have smaller butts and others have larger butts. Butt implants can help shape the butt you may have had before or desire.

The shape of the butt also varies:

  1. A-shaped
  2. V-shaped
  3. Inverted heart-shaped
  4. Cow

Aging, pregnancy, and weight loss affect the buttocks by reducing fat and muscle. The ligaments (fixed connections between muscle and skin) are also affected and become more lax. Both men and women suffer from changes that result in a smaller and more saggy buttocks.

To improve the appearance, there are several things you can do:

  1. Exersize Of course, it provides many benefits and a firmer butt, but unfortunately it is not always enough.
  2. BBL (Brazilian butt lift)
  3. Implant (silicone)
  4. Combination of implants and fat as both the shape of the butt and the projection (how much the butt sticks out) can improve the appearance.

Implants give a larger butt and as it fills out the skin better it also reduces wrinkles and loose skin. The shape of the butt is also important and sometimes more important than the volume. The shape can be changed mainly with liposuction in the waist and the fat is then moved to the sides of the butt/hips/hip dips.

Best result if you want your butt to be bigger with a better shape:

  • Buttock implants to get more volume – a buttock augmentation
  • Liposuction around the waist and back
  • Fat is injected back into the side of the butt to give the butt a better shape.

Is it good to have surgery during the menstrual period?

When is the best time of year for surgery?

When is the best time of year for surgery?

When is the best time of year to have surgery? A common question we get is: – Now is not a good time to have the surgery because it is the month of menstruation?

The time in question is July-August, but it's about food and not about surgeries and wounds...

However, there are several operations where compression garments are an important part of the aftercare to achieve a perfect result and then it is difficult if it is the height of summer and a heat wave. So yes, there are operations that are suitable for different times of the year. Perhaps the most important thing is to take into account what is happening in life so that recovery and healing do not interfere with important events such as weddings, vacations, ski trips, etc.

With that said, we are now entering late summer, fall and winter and these seasons are ideal for several plastic surgeries that require compression garments. In addition, a tummy tuck , arm lift , thigh lift , facelift or breast reduction will have time to heal nicely before it is time to take off some clothes again when summer and the warm weather return. So if you are considering these surgeries, book a consultation and we will help you put together a plan for you and when surgery would fit into your life.

Liposuction with Skintightening

Liposuction with Skintightening

Liposuction with Skintightening

One of the most requested procedures with us is liposuction . For many, liposuction is not perceived as real surgery and therefore the threshold for the procedure is perhaps a little lower? In a way, that is perhaps true as the scars are only a few small lines about 5 mm in size. We can also do a minor liposuction under local anesthesia and then it really is a small procedure.

A small liposuction on a well-defined area is often relatively easy to get right, but a large liposuction is a challenge. When a lot of fat is sucked out, the skin becomes a little looser and it is difficult to know if the skin will contract on its own?

Now there is a treatment for skin tightening that is done together with liposuction . The method is called Renuvion and we think it will be perfect for medium and large liposuctions. For example, inner thighs or upper arms, it is always a bit difficult to determine whether the skin can contract or if it means that an arm or thigh lift, where skin is cut away, will be necessary.

We were supposed to get started in January, but like so much else this past year, Covid 19 put a damper on that. Now, with spring and summer just around the corner, the timing is perfect! How many people are bothered by those fat deposits on their inner thighs? Wouldn't it be nice to get rid of them and still feel confident that the skin is tightening?

We believe and hope that this treatment method will make a big difference and so far it is only available at a few clinics in Sweden. We are now testing the machine on May 7th and we hope to be up and running after that!
