Effective treatment against unwanted hair growth

Permanent hair removal

We at Elite Clinic Beauty has over 20 years of experience and offers effective and long-lasting hair reduction with modern and advanced technology. Our treatments are developed to provide safe, gentle and visible results while treating the skin gently and professionally.

Unwanted hair growth can be both time-consuming and frustrating to deal with using traditional methods such as shaving, waxing or hair removal creams. These methods only provide temporary results and require ongoing maintenance. With the help of modern technology, we can instead reduce hair growth, and in many cases permanently.

Effective hair reduction with advanced technology

We work with advanced systems from Cutera and use both laser and IPL to treat different skin and hair types safely and effectively.

Laser treatment often gives very good results because the energy is directed directly at the pigment in the hair. The light is converted into heat that destroys the hair follicle while protecting the surrounding skin. By adjusting the energy level, pulse length and wavelength, the treatment can be optimized for each person's skin type and hair color.

Electrolysis – for light, white and red hair

Laser and IPL work best on dark hair because the treatment targets the pigment in the hair shaft. For light, white, gray or red hair, we also offer electrolysis.

Electrolysis is a proven method where a very thin probe is inserted into the hair follicle and destroys the hair-producing cells using electrical energy. The method works on all hair colors and skin types and is the only method that can permanently remove even hair without pigment.

Electrolysis is often used for smaller areas or as a complement to laser treatment when single hairs remain.

How laser hair removal works

The laser light passes through the skin and is absorbed by the pigment in the hair shaft. The heat is conducted down to the hair follicle where the hair-producing cells are destroyed. When the hair follicle can no longer produce new hair, hair growth is gradually reduced.

Since hair grows in different phases, multiple treatments are required for optimal results. Each treatment is carefully tailored to your skin type, hair color, and treatment area.

Our treatment systems are equipped with advanced cooling technology that cools the skin during treatment. This makes the treatment more comfortable and reduces the risk of skin irritation while achieving the right temperature in the hair follicles for effective results.

We help you with individual adaptation of the right treatment.

Consultation

Before starting the treatment, a consultation is always done. There, we review your skin and hair type, discuss your expectations and goals, and go over any questions you may have. During the consultation, we perform a free patch test, which ensures that the treatment is safe and tailored to you.

All prices are individual and may vary depending on hair growth, the extent of the treatment and the area being treated. When treating multiple areas, a package price may be offered. In order to provide the fairest price possible, an individual assessment is always made before the treatment begins.

How many treatments are needed?

Most people need 5–8 treatments, but sometimes more.

Hair grows in different phases and the treatment is only effective on hair in the active growth phase. Since all hairs are in different phases at the same time, multiple treatments are required.

The number of treatments varies depending on hair type, skin type, treatment area and hormonal factors.

How long does a treatment take?

Treatment time depends on the area being treated. Smaller areas only take a few minutes, while larger areas can take up to 60 minutes or more.

Does the treatment hurt?

Most people experience the treatment as quick, warm pricks to the skin, but thanks to modern cooling systems, the treatment is usually very gentle. If necessary, numbing cream can be used on sensitive areas.

How long between treatments?

Typically, an interval of 4-8 weeks is recommended, depending on the area and hair growth. Sometimes, you may experience an increase in hair growth after a few treatments. This is often due to dormant hair follicles being activated and is a natural part of the process.

How long do the results last?

Laser, IPL and electrolysis provide long-term hair reduction. After a completed treatment series, the results can last for several years. However, hormonal changes can affect hair growth, and therefore occasional maintenance treatments may be needed over time.

Before the treatment

  • Avoid sunbathing at least 4–6 weeks before treatment
  • Avoid sunless tanning 2–3 weeks before
  • Shave the area before treatment
  • Avoid waxing and plucking 4–6 weeks before
  • Come with clean skin without products

After treatment

After the treatment, slight redness or swelling may occur, which is completely normal and usually disappears within a few days.

Keep in mind that:

  • Avoid sun exposure on the treated area for 2 weeks.
  • Using sunscreen
  • Avoid exercise, saunas and hot baths for 24 hours

The hair gradually falls out within 1–3 weeks after treatment.

What hair can be treated?

We can treat most types of hair:

  • Dark hair – treated effectively with laser/IPL
  • Blonde, red and grey hair – can be treated with thermolysis
  • All skin types – after individual assessment

By combining different techniques we can create the best possible results.

The phases of hair growth

All hair follicles are formed during the fetal stage and no new ones are added later in life. Hair growth is affected by hormones, genetics and age.

The hair life cycle is divided into three phases:

Anagen phase (growth phase)
The hair is actively growing and is connected to the hair follicle. It is in this phase that the treatment is most effective.

Catagen phase (transition phase)
The hair stops growing and falls out of the follicle. The effect of treatment is limited.

Telogen phase (resting phase)
The hair rests and eventually falls out. After that, a new hair starts to grow.

Since not all hairs are in the same phase at the same time, multiple treatments are required to achieve consistent and long-lasting results. Some hair follicles can even be dormant for years and are activated during hormonal changes.

Prices

Our prices are listed as starting prices and are individually adjusted based on the amount of hair, skin type and treatment area. Each treatment is tailored to provide optimal results, which means that the price may vary depending on your unique circumstances.

When treating multiple areas, we offer affordable package solutions.

When purchasing a treatment series of four treatments, we offer a fifth treatment at no extra cost.
