Breast surgery is one of the most common plastic surgery procedures performed in Sweden and the rest of the world. It can be a reduction in breast size, a breast lift, breast augmentation or correction of a breast deformity such as tubular breasts or perhaps an adjustment of a breast so that the breasts resemble each other more than they did before. When talking about breast reduction, the focus is usually on the physical problems such as back pain, neck pain, difficulty exercising and moving, but the psychosocial concerns are just as troublesome.
Many women with large breasts are embarrassed and have difficulty finding clothes that fit and feel uncomfortable in social situations, such as going to a party in a nice dress, both because it is difficult to find a dress that fits well and also because they often feel that eyes are drawn to their large breasts. Some do not want to accompany their children to the bathhouse and showing themselves naked to their partner is sometimes unthinkable.
Another group of women who experience the same psychosocial problems, but in reverse, are those who have a very small bust that has never grown or a breast where the volume has disappeared after weight loss or breastfeeding. Some people think that it is just vanity and superficiality to undergo plastic surgery, but those who speak out about these things clearly have far too little knowledge!
Women who suffer from a non-existent or small bust have difficulty filling out a bra and the dress for the party never fits really well. Intimate situations feel uncomfortable and many of these women also do not show themselves naked to their partner. Sometimes there can be practical as well as psychological problems with having breasts that are different in size. It is difficult to find a bra that fits and the compromise is that one cup fits tight and the other loose, perhaps with a little extra padding in the bra. There are certain breasts that deviate a little more from normal and one such condition that is quite common is so-called tubular breasts. These breasts can have varying degrees of tubular/prickly appearance, sometimes so discreet that perhaps only your plastic surgeon can see that there is a clear deviation in the appearance of the breasts. Regardless of how your breasts look and what problems there are, there is help available! If the breasts are too large, we can lift and reduce their size, and if the breasts are different in size and shape, we can make them more equal, if they are sagging due to age, breastfeeding or weight loss, we can lift them up and also fill them out if necessary. If the breasts are small, we can increase the volume with your own fat or breast implants . Regardless of what concerns and problems you have with your bust, we can help you feel confident so that you are not forced to avoid different situations, but instead feel proud!
